A Place for All Seasons...

As you enter the gateway to New England, you will find a wealth of vacation opportunities here in the Greater Ossipee Area...the quality family attractions, the sports and recreation, delightful dining, comfortable lodging, and warmhearted hospitality. The area is an unpretentious playground, perfect for biking, hiking, fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, boating, picnicking, skiing, snowmobiling, tubing, napping and much, much more

Springtime is a fisherman and hikers dream here in the Eastern Lakes Region with our rushing rivers and streams teeming with trout and salmon, both native and stocked. Our rambling trails, abound with visual delights and wondrous wildlife.

In Summer, enjoy picnic lunches while hiking through our numerous trails, go swimming, canoeing and kayaking or exploring our other scenic wonders. Our clear lakes provide a cool, refreshing dip for swimmers of all abilities and some great fishing!  For the ambitious, over 150 miles of trails link the scenic peaks of the famous Presidential Mountain Range. Mountain biking and hiking opportunities abound! Horseback riding and golf are nearby as well.

 

Fall in New Hampshire brings the most breathtaking display of color that must be seen to be appreciated. The surrounding mountains provide the perfect backdrop for the vibrant hues of the fall foliage. Take a ride along the Kancamagus Scenic Byway passes through the heart of the White Mountains while traversing the flank of Mt. Kancamagus, filled with scenic areas and overlooks. Visit the Russell Colbath Historic Site, which offers colonial history, and explore the Forest Discovery Trail, which provides forest ecology experiences in a living classroom.  Allow plenty of time for stops to picnic, delight in the sweetness of an ice cream, view the scenery from an overlook, or to hike a short distance to a beautiful waterfall.


During the Winter months,
you can enjoy cross-country skiing on trails all around the area. There are over 65 kilometers of varying challenges throughout the area. If alpine skiing is your passion, just minutes away you can enjoy superb family skiing at King Pine Ski Area. If you want variety in your skiing, five other major ski areas are just a short drive away. The snowmobile enthusiasts can trek through White Lake State Park and across the Ossipee Mountains ensuring an extensive network of groomed and tracked trails. Check with our local Snowmobile Clubs for more information.


Loads of attractions and points of interest nearby are sure to keep all ages having fun.

Monkey Trunks NEW rope course, Indian Mound Golf Club, Province Lake Golf Club, Smitty’s Golf and the Chambers GOACC Annual Scholarship Golf Fundraiser at Indian Mound Golf Club, Remick Country Doctor Museum and Farm, visit our own Volcano - the Ossipee Ring Dike, White Lake Speedway, Mount Washington and the Mt. Washington Auto Road (can your car make it to the top?), hike Mount Chocorua, rent a canoe or kayak and explore the numerous lakes and rivers... Downhill skiing and tubing at King Pine.... the list goes on....  Check out the ‘Calendar of Events’ to see what is happening during your visit.

You can top off the day’s activities, with a scrumptious dinner at any one of our dining establishments right here in the neighborhood. Everything from fine elegant dining, ribs, pasta, pizza, subs, including a Gluten Free menu selections. There’s something here for everyone!
