Visit the Greater Ossipee Area during the start of the season and experience NH springing to life...

Springtime is highly regarded as the season of change. As the chill of winter makes its annual departure, a vibrant display of new life, freshly bloomed flowers, and a renewed sense of hope and opportunity begin to take charge. In the Greater Ossipee Area, spring is a time of excitement and new beginnings for both locals and tourists.

Springtime skiing is a different experience than could ever be expected during the winter months. At Madison’s local ski resort, family fun on the slopes takes on a different feel as the season transitions into warmer climates. Snow machines ensure the trails can be open for as long as possible, yet you can leave the heavy winter parka and toe-warmers at home. Spring skiing combines everything we love about the sport, with warmer weather and a heightened sense of comfort. Each spring, children can also participate in the annual Cardboard Box Derby. Contestants design and race their own cardboard box creations down the mountain for a fun day of creativity and sportsmanship.

Local restaurants and taverns are prepared year after year to host memorable St. Patty’s Day celebrations. With a vibrant scene of local culture and music, holiday celebrations bring the community together with live entertainment, delicious meals, adult beverages (for those aged 21 and over) and an atmosphere of merriment and whimsy. Stop by a local restaurant in Sandwich, and be entertained with live music from local bands, while enjoying all the fun St. Patty’s Day has to offer in the Greater Ossipee Area. Many of our towns host family friendly Easter celebrations for the children, including the famed Easter Egg Hunt.

With much of peak tourism season behind, spring in the Greater Ossipee, NH Area is the perfect time to escape to the heart of our vacation land, if you seek to enjoy your time here during quieter, less populated times of the year. Discounted shopping, recreation and year-round activities are available. Spending time in the Greater Ossipee Area will leave with a sense that you’ve truly found an escape, with no fun to be sacrificed.
